Teaching Nomad has partnered with schools in almost every province throughout China. From North to South, East to West, there are hundreds and hundreds of locations. Our partners include some of the largest private English language schools in the world, smaller locally owned schools, foreign language schools, universities and international schools. While some schools specialize in offering courses that cater to educating young learners, others are more focused on providing training programs geared towards young adults and the business community. We strive to partner with a large variety of schools to provide teaching jobs that fit everyone's desires. Our teaching positions fit into 4 categories:

Professional:

These jobs are typically at prestigious International schools in modern cities. Teachers are needed for all subjects, the school year runs from September - June but hiring starts very early. Teaching certification from your home country or state along with 3 - 5 years experience is required. Remuneration is highly competitive with salaries ranging from CNY18,000 - 40,000/month. Plus full expat packages including housing subsidy, insurance, flights & bonuses. These schools often require a 2 year commitment.

Experienced:

Jobs in this category can vary greatly and include private English language training centers for both children or adults as well as foreign language schools requiring instruction in specific subjects. Positions are available in modern cities as well as more authentic settings. 1 - 2+ years of classroom teaching experience of some kind is required. Remuneration is very competitive and provides a fantastic standard of living, salaries range between CNY8,000 - 16,000/month + expat packages that can include, flights, insurance, housing subsidy & bonuses.

Beginner:

Teaching Nomad has great jobs for teachers just starting out. Positions in this category are usually private English language training centers for kids or adults, preschools or Universities. Positions are available in modern cities as well as more authentic settings. Some positions require a minimum of TESOL/TEFL certification while others will be happy to train you on the job. Remuneration is good and will certainly cover your cost of living. Salaries range from CNY5,000 - 10,500 + benefits that can include, free or subsidized housing, insurance, flights & bonuses.

Intern:

This is a new and exciting opportunity for teacher interns wanting a gap year or ample experience to start their teaching careers. Positions in this category are semester based and run for 4 - 5 months. You will be working in kindergartens or children’s ESL training schools in great tier 2 and 3 cities. The ideal candidates are those who are open-minded with an appetite for adventure in authentic settings. This program runs on a first come first serve basis meaning that the first applicants get first choice on the cities they want to go to. You need no previous experience or certification. Remuneration is good and will certainly cover your cost of living. The salary is CNY3,000 + benefits that include, free housing, free trips, free Mandarin lessons, reimbursed flights & bonuses.
